Music in Morocco is very diverse and consists of four large groups or families of music: music Berber ( Amazigh ), the African music , international music, music Hassani southern and Arabic music.
Each group is itself composed of subgroups. And Arabic music in Morocco is it made of modern Arab music influenced by contemporary Arab music the rest of the Arab world (Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, etc..), The Arab local music (popular) in each region Morocco, usually sung in Arabic dialect of each region, the "classic" Arab-Andalusian music , which itself is composed of subgroups of Fez , Rabat , Salé , Tetouan , Oujda (gharnati) and the birthplace of the music that Aarfa is the source of several music as Reggada, Allawi NAARI. There is also the Rai area 'of Oujda finding its source near the border with Algeria (Oran, Tlemcen, Saida).
Amazigh music (Berber) is also divided into sub-groups, usually according to the various regions and spoken: Amazigh tachelhite, Tarifite etc.. One of the most important stage of this "underground" events, is the Boulevard of Young Musicians , which takes place every year in Casablanca and the Moroccan youth rallies in the same cultural event.
